Klondikes

I love Klondikes - the vanilla ice cream bar coated with milk chocolate. I've been eating them since I was a kid. Initially they were plain; then the Krispy Klondike came along. It contained little chips of something. The chips were too soft to be nuts. We wondered if they might be a cereal of some kind; maybe Rice Krispies. We never figured out exactly what they were.


Since the original Klondikes company was bought out a few years ago, the new company has been bringing out new flavors. Last year we enjoyed some that were like Heath Bars -- toffee and chopped nuts plus of course the chocolate coating. They were yummy.

Recently hubby brought home a package meant to remind us of Oreo cookies. It was just fair; and since I don't really enjoy Oreo cookies to begin with, it didn't impress me much.



But --- LAST NIGHT, he brought home a new kind: DARK CHOCOLATE!! I will never buy any other kind of Klondike again. This is the VERY BEST!

Hooray for Dark Chocolate Klondikes. I love you!
